WHAT GLUTATHIONE DOES

The antioxidant your
cells make first.

Glutathione is the redox-restoration half of the cellular-energy conversation NAD⁺ starts. Restore it, and the work shows up across five domains — measured, not just felt.

01Redox balance

Redox balance

Glutathione is the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant — the molecule that neutralizes oxidative byproducts before they accumulate. It draws down under sustained stress and with age.

02Detoxification support

Detoxification support

Glutathione is a cofactor in the liver’s phase-II conjugation pathways — the step that makes fat-soluble compounds water-soluble and clearable. Support, not a cleanse.

03Cellular recovery

Cellular recovery

Members in a recovery arc — post-illness, post-stress, post-travel — reach for it as part of getting their baseline back. Measured against labs, not vibes.

04NAD⁺ redox pairing

NAD⁺ redox pairing

NAD⁺ runs the mitochondrial energy chain; glutathione manages the oxidative cost of running it. The two are prescribed together in our most common longevity pattern.

05Skin clarity, measured

Skin clarity, measured

Some members notice skin changes. We frame it as downstream of redox status — a biomarker story, never a skin-lightening claim.

Patient stories

Verified patients, in their own words.

Select reviews on what changed once they completed their first glutathione protocol.

“I came in for the reset after a brutal stretch. The re-test showed my inflammation markers actually moving — not just me telling myself I felt better.”

Andrea ColeVerified patient

“Paired it with my NAD⁺ protocol. My clinician read both sets of labs together, which is the whole reason I stayed.”

Marcus ReedVerified patient

“No clinic chair, no infusion appointment. It ships, I self-administer, and the baseline tells me it’s doing something.”

Priya NairVerified patient

“The honesty is what sold me — they told me exactly what it can and can’t do before I started.”

THE SCIENCE

What glutathione actually is.

Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide — glutamate, cysteine, and glycine — that every cell of your body makes to protect itself. It's the primary intracellular antioxidant, neutralizing oxidative byproducts before they accumulate, and a cofactor in the liver's phase-II conjugation pathways — the step that makes fat-soluble compounds water-soluble and clearable. It also recycles other antioxidants like vitamins C and E. Glutathione draws down under sustained stress, age, and metabolic load — which is when clinicians consider supporting it directly, aimed at your baseline rather than a guess.

Glutathione questions.

Straight answers on routes, results, safety, and sourcing — no hype.

What does glutathione actually do?

Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide — glutamate, cysteine, and glycine — that your cells make to protect themselves. It’s the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant, a cofactor in the liver’s phase-II conjugation pathways, and a molecule that recycles other antioxidants like vitamins C and E. It draws down under sustained stress, age, and metabolic load — which is when clinicians consider supporting it directly.

Why an injection instead of a pill or an IV drip?

Oral glutathione is largely degraded in the gut and poorly absorbed, so most of the dose never reaches your cells. The subcutaneous or intramuscular injection prioritizes bioavailability over the convenience of a capsule, and it doesn’t require booking a clinic infusion. Your clinician guides the route and dose based on your goals and labs.

How is this different from a med-spa glutathione IV?

Same active antioxidant — without the appointment, the travel, or the per-session clinic fee. Your protocol ships to your door, you self-administer at home, and a clinician monitors your biomarkers between doses. No clinic chair required, and the work is anchored to a baseline rather than a walk-in.

Can I use HSA / FSA for glutathione? Is it covered by insurance?

Glutathione protocols are HSA/FSA-eligible for most US plans, and we provide an itemized superbill on request. Longevity protocols generally aren’t billed to insurance — part of why we removed the membership and consult markups. You pay per protocol, monthly, and most members offset the cost with HSA/FSA dollars.

Is glutathione safe? What are the side effects?

Glutathione injections are well-tolerated in most adults. The most common side effects are mild and transient — injection-site reactions being the most frequent. It is not appropriate if you have G6PD deficiency, or a known sulfa or glutathione hypersensitivity; your clinician screens for these before approving anything. As with any compounded injectable, your clinician reviews your full health context first.

Does glutathione whiten or lighten skin?

We don’t make that claim. Some members report skin changes, and where they do we frame it honestly as downstream of redox status — not as a skin-lightening or bleaching outcome. Any objective claim we make is one we can document.

Can I take glutathione alongside NAD⁺?

Yes — it’s our most common longevity pairing. NAD⁺ runs the mitochondrial energy chain and glutathione manages the oxidative cost of running it, so clinicians frequently prescribe them together. Flag every medication and supplement you take during intake so your clinician can confirm there are no interactions.

How quickly will I notice the work, and what if my biomarkers don’t shift in 90 days?

It varies, which is exactly why we anchor every protocol on a baseline and re-test at 90 days. Your clinician designs the protocol to move specific redox and inflammation markers toward range, reviews the re-test, and adjusts dose or cadence from the trend. The plan follows your data, not a promise.

How is it compounded, and where does it come from?

It’s compounded in a US state-licensed, cGMP-compliant pharmacy and quality-tested every batch for potency (±10%), sterility (USP <797>), pH, and endotoxicity (USP <85>) before it ships.

Do I have to subscribe, or can I order once?

No membership and no tiers. Plans differ only by duration — monthly, 3-month, or 6-month — and you can pause or stop anytime. Longer plans simply lower your per-month cost.

Is this approved by the FDA?

Glutathione is prescribed and compounded by an FDA-regulated, state-licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products the way mass-manufactured drugs are; they’re prepared per prescription for an individual patient under clinician supervision.

Which states is this available in, and who are the clinicians behind my care?

Services are available in all 50 US states through affiliated medical providers and pharmacy partners operating in accordance with applicable state licensure requirements; certain formulations may vary by state. The designated medical group is Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC (Medical Director: Dr. Sean Arora, NPI 1841729449), 300 Lenora Street, Seattle, WA 98121 — arora-health.com. Prescriptions are fulfilled by VialsRX, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy in Houston, TX.
